Never had a problem here. Usually quick service. Been using this location for about a year and they were very accommodating when I brought in over 200 wedding invitations.

Let me start by saying that I am a resident of Clark for 20 years and frequently go to this post office. Postal workers are like referees in football or umpires in baseball -- you don't really take notice unless they blow the call. Well, this one clerk really blew the call on Friday NOV 11 at 3:25pm and again about an hour later. I walked in at 3:25 and was the only person in the office - not a soul in line but me. I had 30 certified letters to mail, which, granted, can hold up a line on a busy day. But on this day at this time I was the only one there, and the clerk refused to take the mailing on the grounds that she might get busy. I suggested that I could step aside mid-mailing if someone were to enter the line behind me (I am aware that the clerk can "suspend" a transaction and later get back to it). The clerk refused to even take a small portion of my 30 letters, saying that she doesn't have the staff to help her. If you've ever done a certified mailing, each letter takes about 15-20 seconds. So, in total, I had 10-15 minutes worth of work for her to do if she had done them all. I argued that there was no one else in line, but she was steadfast in her refusal. She then gave me a tip" "why don't you go to Rahway or Westfield and they can help you." I told her thanks, and left the building and headed to the Westfield PO. When I got there, the line was too long, so I headed to Graselli Station PO in Linden. They were closed (by this time it was around 4pm). Agitated, I decided to go back to Clark (I live in town), and stopped again into the Clark Post Office. Again, there was no one in line. I went straight to the counter and said that I've been driving around for almost an hour and now I want these letters postmarked. I pointed out that there is no one in line. She simply said, "No, can't do it. How do I know if a bunch of people are going to walk in?" I said, "I'm here, at your counter, first in a line that doesn't even exist." She said, "Well, how do you know there wasn't a line after you left the first time?" I seriously doubt that it was mobbed the moment after I left the first time and then suddenly emptied out when I cam back an hour later. After this explanation, I took my letters, told the clerk that I would be filing a complaint, and then walked out. Furthermore, I have now missed my legal deadline to send these letters and that will have an adverse affect on my business. Anyway, this was horrendous service and this clerk clearly does not want to work. She should be relieved of her duties there, because she clearly doesn't share the values of the Post Office that I have come to know over the years. This kind of employee would not last a day as my employee...

It seems some people had a bad experience but I came here several times and always had a good and quick service.

I had a bad experience today, the shop opened its doors at 9am, but the window opens at 10am, so I was here a little after 9am and I needed to drop off something with an already paid postage, but I wanted to ask one of the ladies inside a simple question and I noticed at the door inside that said "RING THE BELL IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE" so I rang the bell and I hear from the other side someone screaming "we open until 10am" and I said I only need to ask something really quick, and there was silence! no one came out or said they were coming or what I needed, so I asked again, and waited... but no one came out or responded me, and I could hear them talking inside. That is just very bad customer service.

Terrible. I have constant issues with this post office, for one they NEVER answer the phone so I don't know why they even have a phone number listed. Another thing I missed a delivery due to working and I called the 800 number to set up a redeliverhy. Clark apparently never checks the updates because they tried again to redeliver when I was working and paid no mind to the multiple alerts sent to deliver on a Saturday. Worst post office and terrible customer service,
